Scope of work included design and construction of a turn-key office area with meeting space in the existing facility. The existing pre-engineering building (PEB) structure at was primarily an aircraft manufacturing facility built in 1941. Some originals systems still existed and required upgrade to present code. All asbestos and lead was identified and abated. Menco demolished the existing building interior to include electrical, mechanical, ceilings, walls, and flooring. A new second floor mezzanine space was constructed inside the 20’ PEB for additional office area. All new offices were constructed including electrical wiring, furred-out interior walls, new drop ceilings, new lighting, mechanical ductwork, data/communication, and paint. The entire building received a new fire sprinkler, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and alarm systems, as well as new doors, VCT and carpet flooring. Restrooms and a kitchen/break area was constructed to support the building occupants’ needs. Because the entire project involved construction of an occupied secure space, Menco Pacific went to great lengths to ensure the project remained on schedule. As a result of Menco Pacific’s project team’s stellar performance and dedication, this project received an OUTSTANDING CCASS Evaluation from the contracting authority.
